Annual Piano Seminar in Prague- EPTA Czech Repulic
EPTA Czech republic will organise its annual Piano Seminar in the Music School and Music High School, Prague, with renowned international and Czech guests: Professor Ludger Lohmann from the University of Stuttgart will present "Articulation on the keyboard instruments of the 16th-18th centuries", related to his famous book of the same title, published in several German editions. Another, lecture-recital will be about articulation- this time with the title "Rhythmic articulation- sound articulation". The highlights of a historical development in music will be presented by the professor emeritus at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Walter Groppenberger. Professor Justin Krawitz from the University of Northern Colorado will give a lecture-recital about the Piano sonata by the famous Czech composer and conductor Karel Husa, winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1969, who spent the majority of his life in the USA serving as professor at several universities. A distinguished Czech professor Alena Vlasakova from the Universities of Music and Performing Arts in Prague and Brno will present a lecture on "Comparison of the sources to pedagogical approaches of Chopin and Liszt in particular fields of piano education".
