Last spring EPTA Greece had once more the pleasure and joy of hosting world famous American virtuoso and pedagogue David Lively, through the efforts of its president Mrs. Natalia Michailidou, a dear friend of Mr. Lively.
From the 20th to 21st of April, 18 students participated in Mr. Lively’s superb masterclass - held at Athens Conservatory's "Aris Garoufalis" hall - where he once more demonstrated his capacity for teaching both with intelligence and warm-hearted enthusiasm, a rare combination which greatly inspired all youngsters, as the photo shown here reveals.
Mr. Lively’s last recording - “I Got Rhythm” - a collection of piano pieces by American composers such as Gottschalk, Joplin, Gershwin and Copland, has just been released by the french record label Lamusica.
